You subscribed to a calendar feed, but new events aren't showing up. This is almost always one of four things, and most of them take a minute to fix.
1. You imported the file instead of subscribing
An imported .ics file is a snapshot. It copies the events that existed at that moment and never changes again. A subscription stores the link and keeps checking it.
- Google Calendar: use Other calendars → + → From URL, not Import.
- Outlook: use Add calendar → Subscribe from web, not Upload from file.
- Apple Calendar: use New Calendar Subscription (Mac) or Add Subscribed Calendar (iPhone).
Fix: delete the imported copy and subscribe with the link instead.
2. The calendar app hasn't refreshed yet
Every calendar app decides on its own how often to re-check a subscription:
- Google Calendar refreshes on its own schedule, often every several hours. There is no manual refresh button.
- Outlook also refreshes on its own schedule, which can take several hours.
- Apple Calendar uses the Auto-refresh setting you choose. On Mac, View → Refresh Calendars forces an update.
3. Sync is turned off on your phone
On Android, a calendar added on the web only appears after you enable it: Google Calendar → Settings → tap the calendar → turn on Sync. On iPhone, open Calendar → Calendars and make sure it's ticked.
4. The link changed
If you reset your calendar link in tvcal, the old link stops working. Remove the old subscription and add the new link.
