TV Time Shut Down: The Best Way to Keep Track of New Episodes

TV Time, the episode-tracking app run by Whip Media, closed its app and website on July 15, 2026. Personal account data was deleted after the shutdown, so if you relied on it to know when your shows return, you need a new setup.

What you lost

  • Your watch history and ratings, unless you saved an export before the shutdown.
  • Reminders about new and returning episodes.
  • The community features: reactions, comments and stats.

If you only want to know when episodes air

For many people, TV Time was mainly a release-date reminder. A calendar feed handles that job well, and you don't need another app to do it.

  1. Open tvcal and search for the shows you were following.
  2. Add them to your watchlist.
  3. Subscribe once in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook.

New episodes then appear in the calendar you already check every day, and the feed updates itself when air dates change. tvcal is free for up to 3 shows; Pro is a one-time US$9.90 for unlimited shows.

If you want a full tracker again

If you want to mark episodes as watched, keep stats or write reviews, a dedicated tracker app is a better fit. Several of them accept TV Time export files, so check their import options if you saved your data. You can still use tvcal alongside any tracker for the calendar side.
